Only Lamont Wade Until Penn State Football

The countdown is back...and for the second time of 2020, there’s 38 days until Penn State Football!

A high-profile recruit, Lamont Wade committed to Penn State back in December 2016, enrolling early shortly thereafter. Wade, in a very savage move, forever etched himself into Penn State lore by scribbling out Dylan Rivers from the picture of commits as Rivers flipped to Virginia Tech.

I will never not laugh at that photo. The very obvious scribble out is too funny.

The 5-foot-9, 199-pound Wade spent his first year at cornerback before making the move to safety in 2018. He earned a starting spot in 2019, earning All-Big Ten honorable mention accolodaes and tied a conference record by forcing three fumbles against Ohio State, nearly sparking a comeback that ultimately fell short.

Just 38 days.
