SWH is Experiencing What it Means to be a Nittany Lion

Dan Chisena, Steven Gonzalez, James Franklin, and the Nittany Lion in this week’s links.

Nittany Lion

The Daily Collegian looked at the daily life of the (previous) Nittany Lion mascot. They also offer their opinion on James Franklin’s leadership at Penn State.

In the professional ranks, another former Nittany Lion finds himself learning a new position in the NFL, this time for the Minnesota Vikings. Most of us at BSD are not at all surprised he has made the positive impact that he has so far in Minnesota.

Elsewhere, Penn State graduate students who are also university employees are not at all pleased with their compensation during the pandemic. You could have definitely seen this coming, especially with the increased reliance on TA’s who are typically technologically literate. Hope Penn State figures this out.

On the gridiron, a future Penn Stater lit it up on Friday, Mark Wogenrich raves about a recruit, and a former Nittany Lion is looking for a new home.

Is there anything better than when a team you beat 21 years ago is still reeling from said beatdown?

I chose this one because the 15-minute version talks about how Penn State should be No. 1 after the win, and it still makes me sad. (Darn you, Dan Nystrom...stay tuned for that debacle later in the year.)

Psychology students at Penn State-Scranton are helping educators deal with the emotional side of the pandemic.
