Even though Penn State football won’t be taking the field for the foreseeable future, there is some breaking roster news to report tonight. According to Lions247, true freshman defensive end Brandon Taylor was removed from the team for a “violation of team rules.” This was confirmed via a Penn State spokesperson.
It is unknown of course what team rules were violated by Taylor, but considering he was a newly-enrolled freshman, it had to have been something serious enough to warrant removal from the program this soon. Taylor was likely to redshirt this upcoming season anyway, but had potential to crack the rotation a couple of years down the line.
We here at BSD wish Brandon the best of luck and hope he lands on his feet, whichever program that may be.
