Penn State just announced the date of the 2022 Blue and White game, which will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2022.
With rare exceptions, the Blue and White game marks the end of spring practice; a showcase of what Nittany Lions fans should expect to see in the upcoming season, where the offense plays against the defense, and folks who don’t normally see the field during the regular season have a time to shine.
As with every game of its kind, there’s only so much to be taken away from the results of the scrimmage. Many valuable players who have solidified starting positions sit out of the game to avoid risk of injury, but being able to see the progress backups are making can be valuable to both the staff and the fans, especially when it comes to figuring out which quarterback they’re going to demand start over the projected starter.
As always, other activities, like autograph signing and the like, will be announced as the game nears closer.
