After a 20-18 9-OT loss (lol) to Illinois, the Nittany Lions rightfully dropped in the AP Poll, coming in at No. 20.
POLL ALERT: Alabama jumps to 3rd behind Georgia, Cincinnati in AP Top 25; Iowa, Ole Miss into top 10; Iowa State, BYU return.

Penn State is now the lowest ranked Big Ten team in the Top 25 with Ohio State at No. 5, Michigan at No. 6, Michigan State at No. 8, and Iowa at No. 9. And of course, the Nittany Lions’ spot in the AP poll is in peril as they make a trip to the Horseshoe to face off with the Buckeyes this coming Saturday.
In what was looking like a season where Penn State could have potentially crashed the College Football Playoff party, it’s now looking like a 9-3 finish would be quite the salvageable turnaround.
