Both 247 Sports and ESPN’s Bonagura believe Penn State will be the No. 3 seed in the Playoff, and take on (gulp) No. 2 Georgia in the Cotton Bowl. Right now I would put Georgia over Bama, but we’ll see what happens. Brett McMurphy also has the Nittany Lions facing Georgia, but in the Orange Bowl.

Meanwhile, silly-billy CBS Sports and ESPN’s Schlabach move Iowa into the Playoff over the Nittany Lions, and put Penn State in Pasadena against the Ducks. It is interesting to note that Schlabach does think that Penn State is more deserving than the fourth seed he put in the Playoff, Oklahoma.
