He'll go 125 for them this year, obviously trying to block Spencer Lee from becoming a 4x NCAA champ.
Great news for us: he's one of the very few wrestlers potentially able to beat a healthy Lee -- and nobody believes Lee will be 100% this year with the knee injuries.
This also nearly guarantees Lee will have a difficult match in the NCAA semis, with Suriano and Princeton's Pat Glory (U23 world medalist) both at 125, and Cornell's Vito Arujau (Olympic Trials runner-up) likely also at the weight.
Penn State and Iowa are expected to be in a very tight team race this year. If Lee finishes 2nd, that costs Iowa 4 points. If he finishes 3rd, that's another 2 pts Iowa loses. Iowa losing those points would be huge for PSU.
BTW, Michigan and Iowa do not face each other. Suriano vs. Lee can only happen at B10s and at NCAAs.
