YAY HOOPS: Penn State vs. No. 4 Ohio State Open Thread/Mini-Preview

Can the Nittany Lions avoid getting swept tonight?

NCAA Basketball: Indiana at Ohio State Joseph Maiorana-USA TODAY Sports

Apologies for not getting you a full-fledged preview earlier today. Just like the hoops team, we also dropped the ball. Really, not much has changed about Ohio State (17-4, 11-4, Kenpom Rank: 6) from the first meeting, except for the fact the fourth-ranked Buckeyes are coming in on a six-game winning streak, including a 78-59 waxing of Indiana, while the Nittany Lions have dropped back-to-back games against Michigan State and Nebraska that they otherwise could’ve won.

E.J Liddell will continue to be a thorn in PSU’s side down low while Duane Washington and CJ Walker will make for a solid backcourt combo to challenge PSU’s. That being said, we’ve seen a seemingly hopeless PSU team pull off upsets of ranked teams like this one several times in recent memory, so it wouldn’t be that shocking if Jim Ferry’s crew were to get that dub.

Tip-off for the game is at 8:00 PM ET on BTN. As usual, the open thread rules apply: No porn, no politics/religion, no links to illegal streams of the game, and just be kind to one another, mmkay?
