TOP REMAINING 2021 TARGET TO DECIDED ON WEDNESDAY
Wednesday is the traditional February signing day. On Wednesday, four-star defensive end Davon Townley will announce his college decision. His decision will be between Penn State, Nebraska and Washington.
With defensive end being a huge need for the Nittany Lions in the 2021 cycle they have remained on Townley since offering him last June. While teams have come and gone in his recruitment since then, the Nittany Lions have remained the consistent contender. With a Wednesday announcement looming, Townley may be leaning toward the Nittany Lions. That said, he has played this recruitment close to the vest throughout so nothing should surprise anyone.
lus, ya know, 2021 crootin’.
TWO NEW 2022 QB OFFERS
Shortly after Michael Yurcich was hired as Penn State’s offensive coordinator the Nittany Lions started to track 2022 Ohio quarterback Drew Allar. On Saturday, the Nittany Lions extended an offer to the talented play caller.
Very excited to say I’ve received an offer from Penn State Universty!! Thank you @coachjfranklin @Coach_Yurcich #WeAre ⚪️@MedinaFootball_ pic.twitter.com/jLkcmaqtYZ

Penn State currently has just three scholarship quarterbacks on their roster. Due to this, they will likely take two QBs in 2022. This includes current QB commit Beau Pribula.
Moving forward, Penn State will be a team to watch in Allar’s recruitment. When the current recruiting dead period ends, which could be as soong as late April, look for Allar to get to campus to check out the Nittany Lions. Assuming this happens, Penn State will become one of the top teams in his recruitment.
Sunday afternoon, Yurcich extended an offer to another 2022 quarterback. This offer went out to Texas native Cade Klubnik.
All glory to God! Blessed to receive an offer from Penn State!! pic.twitter.com/AdMjkaeTGK

Klubnik is a quarterback that Yurcich was recruiting during his time as offensive coordinator at Texas, as he holds an offer from Longhorns. With Penn State likely looking to take two quarterbacks in their 2022 recruiting class, both Allar and Klubnik could be players to watch.
2022 DE CHECKS OUT CAMPUS
Despite the current COVID-19 induced dead period players are still able to visit campuses. Over the weekend, four-star defensive end Joe Strickland was in Happy Valley.

The Indianapolis native is one of Penn State’s top DE targets for 2022. With DE being a huge position of need in 2022, Strickland will be a player worth watching for Penn State fans. This was a big visit for the Nittany Lions to secure.
