While Penn State’s 2021 non-conference schedule will remain the same, their 2021 Big Ten schedule will now look different than originally planned. The Nittany Lions will still play the same nine teams as originally scheduled, the order of those games have been revised.

Penn State will still kick off their 2021 season with a trip to Camp Randall Stadium in Madison on September 4 to battle the Wisconsin Badgers. However, after this the conference schedule begins to be shaken up.

Following non-conference play, the Nittany Lions were originally scheduled to have a bye week prior to traveling to Kinnick Stadium for an always challenging matchup against Iowa. Instead, Penn State will now host the Indiana Hoosiers on October 2, travel to Iowa on October 9 and then have their bye week on October 16. After the bye week, Penn State will host Illinois at Beaver Stadium.

Originally, Penn State was scheduled to host Michigan on November 13 and then travel to Ohio State on November 20. Playing the Wolverines and Buckeyes in consecutive weeks is never an easy task. Thankfully, Penn State will no longer have to tackle that tall task.

Penn State will now travel to Columbus on Halloween weekend for what has become the Big Ten’s yearly marquee match up. The following week Penn State will travel to College Park looking to avenge this past season’s loss against Maryland, before returning home to play Michigan.

The Nittany Lions will then finish their 2021 conference slate with what should be a pair of easy match ups when they host Rutgers before finishing the season with a trip to East Lansing to battle Michigan State.
