2022 DEFENSIVE END HAS VIRTUAL VISIT
While coaching staffs still can not host visitors to campus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, virtual visits continue to take place across college football. This past weekend Penn State hosted 2022 defensive end Curlee Thomas on one of these visits.
Thanks @Destiny_Rod and @CoachCBW for taking out time on a Sunday to do a virtual tour with me. Awesome faculties! @coachjfranklin @PennStateFball #WearePenn pic.twitter.com/PSZOT0XEHm

Thomas is a three-star prospect from Forth Worth, Texas. The Nittany Lions just offered Thomas last Thursday, so Thomas quickly following this offer up with a virtual visit likely indicates interest on his end. Thomas could be a name to watch on the defensive end board moving forward.
NEW OFFERS
Since being hired as Penn State’s new offensive coordinator Mike Yurcich has been busy offering quarterbacks he was recruiting at Texas. This continued last Thursday when the Nittany Lions offered Nick Evers.
After speaking with @CoachJFranklin & @Coach_Yurcich I’m SO HONORED to say that I received an offer from Penn State University ⚪️ #WeAre@bbasil01, @Scott_grantham, @JagFootball, @JagFBRecruits, @air14football pic.twitter.com/n0VJVC6M6P

In recent weeks Evers has watched his recruitment start to blow up. Both Virginia Tech and Florida offered Evers last week as well. As the Nittany Lions hunt for a second quarterback in their 2022 class Evers will certainly be a player worth monitoring.
A pair of new offers also went out on the offensive line. These offers were extended to Elijah Pritchett and Lucas Heyer.

I’m honored to receive an offer from Penn State! #AGTG @CoachTrautFB pic.twitter.com/fv72I8Dx28
— Lucas Heyer (@LHeyer77) February 4, 2021
Pritchett is a Columbus, Georgia, native, while Heyer hails from Saint Paul, Minnesota. The Nittany Lions will likely look to take five offensive linemen in 2022 and currently have just one offensive line commit in Drew Shelton. New offensive line offers will likely continue to go out as Phil Trautwein looks to expand his recruiting board and gauge the interest of prospects across the country.
