As with every coaching change in the history of life, there are always some transfers. Usually, the question is who, not whether. Shortly after Micah Shrewsberry was announced as the head coach of the Nittany Lions, senior John Harrar entered the transfer portal.
After the kind of season he had, Harrar should have no problem finding suitors. In fact, several Big Ten teams have already contacted the forward since he entered the portal. Maryland, Michigan State, and Rutgers are among the list of schools vying for Harrar’s services next season. For our sake, let’s hope Harrar ends up at a school outside of the Big Ten, as he proved what he can do as the season went on.
A not about the portal: As Patrick Kelly proved earlier in the season, entering the portal in and of itself does not guarantee a transfer, so until a transfer announcement is made, Harrar is still a Nittany Lion.
This will likely be the first of many transfers in the next couple of weeks, so stay tuned.
Good luck to John in his future endeavors!
