Penn State lost Izaiah Brockington to the transfer portal yesterday. But as they say: the portal might taketh but the portal also giveth, as the Nittany Lions picked up a commitment from former Gardner-Webb point guard Jaheam Cornwall.

A four-year player at Gardner Webb, the 6-foot-0 Cornwall averaged 10.1 PPG over 120 games. He took a big jump his junior and season seasons, where he averaged 13.1 PPG and 14.1 PPG respectively.
A first-team All-Big South selection, Cornwall is a great shooter, hitting 42.8% of his threes on 6.1 attempts per game over the last two seasons. He also offers a bit as a passer and — despite his small stature — rebounder as well, averaging 3.6 RPG and 3.5 APG over the last two years.
It remains to be seen what exactly Cornwall’s role — starter or bench piece — will be in Happy Valley. But one thing is for sure: he’ll give the team some much-needed shooting.
