The best linebacker in the 2021 NFL Draft is headed to Dallas to play for the Cowboys.

After sitting out the entirety of the 2020 season due to concerns surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, Micah Parsons’ draft stock has largely held steady as a prospect with a high-first round grade.

That grade eventually came to fruition on Thursday night as the Penn State linebacker was selected by the Dallas Cowboys with the 12th pick of the 2021 NFL Draft.

Parsons was the first linebacker taken off the board and the third defensive player selected in the quarterback and wide receiver-heavy prospect pool.

He became the first Penn State player to be drafted in the first round since Saquon Barkley in 2018 and the first defensive player from PSU to go in the first round since Jared Odrick all the way back in 2010.
