Three More Nittany Lions Selected in the 7th Round of the NFL Draft

Shaka Toney, Michal Menet, and Will Fries all saw their names called on the final day of the draft.

If you were keeping close count, we put out six different “So Your Team Drafted...” posts, as we anticipated six former Penn State stars hearing their names called in the 2021 NFL Draft. Going into today, which saw the fourth through seventh rounds of selections, three of our six projected draftees were already off the board.

The remaining three outstanding potential draftees of Shaka Toney, Michal Menet, and Will Fries not only saw their names called, but saw them called back-to-back-to-back (Tom Emanski-style) in the seventh round. Shaka went to the Washington Football Team with the 246th pick, followed by Menet landing with the Arizona Cardinals as the 247th pick, and Will Fries going to the Indianapolis Colts, who had the 248th pick.

And thus concludes another NFL Draft in the books. Congrats to all six Nittany Lions who were drafted and best of luck to them in their professional careers!*
