With only 100 days until the start of Penn State’s 2021 football season, the schedule is becoming even more clear, with three more kickoff times being announced earlier today. Perhaps the most notable of the announcements was the season opener at Wisconsin getting FOX’s BIG. NUDE. KICK. treatment, per the official PSU football Twitter account.
Sights set on September 4.

Perhaps some of you were hoping Wisconsin would be a 3:30 or later kickoff, but honestly, I’d prefer the Noon ET/11:00 AM local Madison time kick if PSU is going to deal with a packed, raucous, crowd at Camp Randall Stadium. “But, PSU starts slowly on the road at Noon!” you might say with a furrowed brow. To that, I say if the team can’t get hyped up to play a ranked team on the road for a season opener playing in front of an actual crowd for the first time in 22 months, then they should just quit playing football.
Additionally, the kickoff times for the home opener against Ball State (September 11th) and Illinois (October 23rd) were announced. The Ball State game will air at 3:30 PM ET on FS1, while the Homecoming clash with the Illini will kick off at Noon, with a network yet to be determined. If I were a betting man though, I’d bet on the Illinois game ending up on either ESPN/ESPN2, FS1, or BTN.
