We continue our countdown by featuring former walk-on wide receiver Tyler Shoop. Shoop chose to follow his dad, Bob Shoop, to Penn State, but the father-son pairing only lasted one season as Bob Shoop decided to go to Tennessee for the 2016 season. Fortunately for Tyler, he decided to stick around at Penn State and was rewarded with a Big Ten Championship. Take that, pops.
Shoop’s final season in Happy Valley was 2018, when he then decided post-graduation that he was going to go pro in something other than sports, transitioning to a career in professional wrestling.
Here’s to hoping we see Shoop and his Penn State-branded wrestling gimmick on the big stage soon enough.
