Penn State updated its 2021 roster on Friday morning and in doing so, no longer listed 2021 offensive lineman commit Nate Bruce as a part of the program.
Bruce, a three-star commit out of Harrisburg (Pa.) High School, joined the program in January after graduating high school early and earned high praise of strength coach Dwight Galt, who called Bruce a “special athlete” despite his 6-foot-4, 351-pound frame.
The incoming freshman joined the team for spring practice but did not appear in either of the team’s two scrimmages with details emerging around that time that he had left the program.
Bruce has since confirmed that fact in a message to Sean Fitz of Lions247.
The move leaves the Nittany Lions with just one offensive lineman in the 2021 recruiting class and just 16 signees in the class overall.
