After highlighting Blake Gilikin in yesterday’s days until post, we stick with the special teams unit today and Nittany Lions’ kicking Jake Pinegar.
Pinegar came into Penn State as a highly touted prospect out of Iowa and has shown flashes of that pedigree at times, though he has been inconsistent as well.
The senior ranks four in PSU history in extra points and sixth in field goal percentage entering his final campaign. He’s also ninth all-time in scoring.
Pinegar has shown to be streaky in his time with Penn State. When his confidence in there, he can be one of the best kickers in the country, though he’s also gone through difficult stretches when the confidence wanes.
Hopefully for Nittany Lions’ fans and the kicker himself, we get the good version of Pinegar in his final run in Happy Valley.
