Here’s something to make your Friday even better - we’re officially halfway through our countdown! That means we’re just over seven weeks away from seeing the Nittany Lions take the field to kick off the 2021 season against Wisconsin.
You may not be overly familiar with linebacker Max Chizmar, but he’s had an eventful four years in State College. Chizmar has been named an Academic All-Big Ten selection for three years running, while picking up many other honors from the coaching staff. He was named as the Developmental Squad Player of the Week a total of 11 times during 2018 and 2019, also earning Developmental Squad Player of the Year Award at the team’s annual banquet in both seasons. His obvious efforts have gone a long ways to make everyone around him better on Saturdays.
Chizmar played in six games in 2020, and will look to see more time at linebacker and as a special teams ace this fall.
Just 50 more days, folks.
