Only Michael Wright Until Penn State Football

It’s probably not a great thing if people know the name of the long snapper. It’s a position that demands perfection and near anonymity.

However, today is Michael Wright’s day to shine. He represents the seven-week mark until the return of Penn State Football.

That’s it. Just seven more Saturdays to get through without watching the Nittany Lions. And if you are so obliged, there are just six Saturdays until Week 0, which will feature a battle between Nebraska and Illinois, among four other games for your viewing pleasure.

Back to Wright, who earned all-state honors in Georgia while playing for Blessed Trinity High School. He also helped the team win three consecutive state championships before arriving in Happy Valley. Wright did not see any game action as a true freshman in 2020, and will look to change that this fall.
