For the second year in a row, we’ve got Rich Ohrnberger repping the 64 days portion of the countdown to season kickoff. A starter during the 2007 and 2008 seasons, Rich earned third-team AP All-America honors anchoring the offensive line that ultimately helped lead PSU to a Big Ten title and Rose Bowl berth during the 2008 season. Rich would ultimately play six seasons in the NFL between the Patriots, Cardinals, and Chargers.
Perhaps more importantly, Rich was known to his teammates as a “class clown” and “prankster” The most glaring example of this was when Rich impersonated fellow offensive line teammate A.Q. Shipely on a conferenc call for media.
As far as Rich’s life goes, it’s the same as last year: He is a talk radio host for XTRA1360 Fox Sports Radio out of San Diego and is also a San Diego State football and analyst for NBC 7 in San Diego. If you’re an active viewer of FS1, there’s also a good chance you’ve seen him appear on some of their top shows such as “The Herd with Colin Cowherd” and “Speak For Yourself.”
