Nick Tarburton was an early entrant into Penn State’s much vaunted 2018 recruiting class, pulling the trigger for the good guys shortly before signing day 2017. A top 10 player from (and a four start prospect) the commonwealth of PA (and a four start prospect) that year out of Pennridge, Tarburton was recruited as a hybrid but seemingly has focused mostly on DE while at PSU.
He saw time in his first season in the blue and white before redshirting in 2019. Last year, he saw significant snaps and finally logged his first defensive stats.
With some vacancies at end this season after Shaka Toney and Odafe Oweh left for the league, Tarburton is expected to challenge for one of the two starting spots - and definitely will be in the mix in the two-deep.
Only 46 more days until the Nittany Lions take the field!
