In what some may consider a surprising turn of events, Penn State football announced on it’s Twitter account Thursday morning that it would be holding the annual White Out game on Sept. 18 against Auburn.

The Tigers, one of the nation’s most prestigious programs, will make their first trip to Happy Valley in program history. However, the team struggled last season, much like Penn State, and fired head coach Gus Malzahn, who has since been replaced by former Boise State head coach Bryan Harsin.
Many believed the Nittany Lions would yet again hold the White Out when Michigan comes to town on Nov. 13. Instead, that game has been deemed a student section White Out, though an impromptu full-stadium White Out would not be surprising.
Additionally, Penn State will once again stripe out Beaver Stadium on Oct. 2 against Indiana, while homecoming is set for Oct. 23 when the Nittany Lions welcome Illinois.
