Less than a month after committing to Penn State (on the 4th of July, no less), four-star defensive end Tyrese Fearbry announced yesterday that he was decommitting from PSU. In addition to taking an official visit to PSU, which vaulted the Nittany Lions to the top of his board and ultimately earned a commitment, Fearbry had also officially visited Pitt, Kentucky, and Auburn. Considering that Fearbry is a Pittsburgh-area recruit, it wouldn’t be surprising to see him ultimately decide to stay home and suit up for Pitt.
With four-star Ken Talley and crown jewel of the 2022 class Dani Dennis-Sutton on board, PSU remains in a good spot when it comes to defensive end recruiting. That being said, the staff will certainly kick the tires on some prospects they had previously been looking at. Overall, the Nittany Lions’ 2022 recruiting outlook remains very bright with the No. 2 overall class just behind Ohio State on 247 Sports.
