Only Landon Tengwall Until Penn State Football

We take a look at the crown jewel of Penn State’s 2021 recruiting class in today’s countdown.

We’re just 58 days from Penn State kicking off the 2021 football season in fashion against Wisconsin Badgers in Madison.

That means today’s countdown piece will focus on Penn State’s No. 58, freshman offensive lineman Landon Tengwall.

Tengwall, out of Our Lady of Good Counsel High School in Olney, Maryland, was one of the top recruits in the 2021 class since he burst onto the scene as a gigantic high school freshman.

He remained their throughout the recruiting cycle and eventually chose the Nittany Lions over Notre Dame as well as a slew of other offers.

Tengwall was the highest-rated recruit in the 2021 class, checking in at No. 53 overall in the 247Sports rankings, and it’s not hard to see why. He checks in at a towering 6-foot-6-inches tall and 320 pounds and could play either tackle or guard at the next level. For a player his size, he has a surprisingly low amount of body fat and is agile in addition to powerful.

While Tengwall likely won’t see much, if any, time in 2021 due to Penn State seemingly having a solid 7-8 man rotation set up front, he’s unquestionably one of the most college-ready linemen you’ll see and should be a multiple-year starter for the Nittany Lions and hopefully a future all-conference and all-american candidate,
