Redshirt sophomore Dylan Farronato joined Penn State as a walk-on in 2019 from nearby Lewisburg, PA. Farronato finished his high school career as the all-time leader in receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns, and was also a letter-winner in both track and basketball. He was named All-State as both an athlete and defensive back as a junior, and even earned all-conference recognition as a punter three of his four seasons. At Penn State, Farronato was named Academic All-Big Ten in 2020, and the coaching staff awarded him scout team defensive player of the week after the Ohio State game, and special teams player of the week after the Maryland game. With the new rules regarding NIL, it is also interesting to note that Farronato’s Twitter bio lists him as a “Barstool athlete.” He has personally reached out to Barstool’s president regarding sponsorship-we at BSD say make that money, Dylan!
