Only Aeneas Hawkins Until Penn State Football

27 days to go!

Aeneas Hawkins arrived at Penn State in 2018 as a top-30 defensive tackle and one of the better players in the football-rich state of Ohio. Hawkins redshirted in 2018, and appeared in one game in 2019, as well as the Rutgers game in 2020. He was also named by the coaches as the scout team’s defensive player of the week following both the Nebraska and Rutgers games in 2020. Hawkins possesses great size for a defensive tackle, and along with redshirt freshman Amin Vanover, should figure in a large rotation that is led by P.J. Mustipher, Hakeem Beamon, Fred Hansard, and transfer Derrick Tangelo. There may be a lot of talent ahead of Hawkins, but given his experience and proven track record of study with the scout team accolades, it won’t be at all surprising for Hawkins to see some playing time early in the 2021 season.
