5 College Football Games to Watch this Week Besides Penn State-Ball State

As a reminder, this list will not include Big Ten games, as they are already covered in the conference preview, as well as other games during Penn State’s timeslot. Unfortunately, this results in slim pickings for week two. But as promised, I’ll still do my best to preview other games to watch this weekend.

Alabama State at (#25)Auburn
Noon, SECN

The good: You can get a sneak peek of Penn State’s opponent for next week.
The Bad: You won’t learn anything since they’re playing Alabama State.
Prediction: Auburn- 49, Alabama St.- 7

Pitt at Tennessee
Noon, ESPN

The good: One of these teams will lose.
The bad: One of these teams will win.
Prediction: Pitt-16, Tennessee-13

Toledo at (#8)Notre Dame
2:30 p.m., Peacock

First off, do you have Peacock? If so, good, you can watch Dr. Death, Girls5Eva or even the surprisingly good Saved by the Bell reboot (ep. 8 is the reunion episode if you want to skip ahead for a jolt of nostalgia) instead of this game.
Prediction: Bayside-41, Valley-31

(#21)Utah at BYU
10:15 p.m., ESPN

This one should actually be worth staying up past midnight. The Holy War is an early-season rivalry game that rarely disappoints. It should be a hard-fought battle that comes down to the wire.
Prediction: Utah-34, BYU-30

Hawai’i at Oregon State
11 p.m., FS1

Both teams looked terrible in week one, but if you want to stay up past 2 a.m. ET watching live football, this is your best (and only) option.
Prediction: Oregon State-24, Hawai’i-20
