It turns out, ABC is ready to get back to State College for another night game as the Big Ten announced earlier this afternoon that Penn State’s game with Indiana will take place on ABC at 7:30 p.m.

Getting the ABC/ESPN treatment isn’t surprising, but after Indiana’s 1-2 start, I think mostly everybody thought that this game would take place in the 3:30 spot. Instead, Beaver Stadium will get its second primetime affair of the season.
With Ole Miss-Alabama going to CBS, FOX getting Oklahoma-Kansas State and Michigan-Wisconsin, and Cincy-Notre Dame being on NBC, it turns out that everything fell right for Penn State to jump into another primetime spot.
Certainly, Penn State fans will be a little extra fired up for this year’s Indiana game after what happened in 2020. Add in that the Nittany Lions will likely be 5-0 and with a Top 5 Iowa matchup waiting in the distance, this should secretly be a very good atmosphere for what could have been a noon kick if things bounce differently.
