FOUR-STAR ATHLETE TARGET OPENS RECRUITMENT BACK UP
Four-star California athlete Larry Turner-Gooden committed to Arizona State back in February. However, last week he de-committed from the Sun Devils. This came after Turner-Gooden officially visited Penn State for their White Out victory over Auburn.
Any time a recruiting target opens up their recruitment after spend seven months committed to another school is noteworthy. It because especially noteworthy when they do so after officially visiting your school.
While the Nittany Lions appeared to be a long-shot entering Turner-Gooden’s official visit it appears they have moved up his list. Texas is another school gaining steam in Turner-Gooden’s recruitment, and it is not clear if Penn State would even have room in their near to capacity recruiting class for him, it still does not hurt to have a four-star prospects from the other side of the country visit for the White Out and the rave about the visit.
NEW OFFERS
As Mike Yurcich and James Franklin continue to construct their 2023 quarterback board a new QB offer has gone out. This offer was extended to Christopher Vizzina.
Blessed to receive an offer from Pennsylvania State University!@Coach_Yurcich @BriarwoodFTBLL @GasCrew7v7 @ChadSimmons_ @samspiegs @SWiltfong247 pic.twitter.com/Q9lfxT1vkN

Vizzina attends Briarwood Christian in Birmingham, Alabama. The Nittany Lions became the 11th Power 5 program to extend a scholarship offer to Vizzina. Yurcich has proven to have a great eye for quarterback talent, making each of his quarterback offers an intriguing one.
Another noteworthy offer this past week was extended to a 2023 prospect while they were visiting this past weekend. This prospect is Jven Williams.
I am so blessed and honored to say I have received an offer from Penn State University!

Thank you so much! @coachjfranklin @CoachTrautFB @CoachSteveONeil @gobigrecruiting @SportsByBLinder @EdOBrienCFB @RivalsFriedman @PennStateFball pic.twitter.com/X6C3eqiJp4
Williams is an in-state product as he attends Wyomissing High School. The big offensive tackle has saw his recruitment begin to explode in recent weeks with Pitt, Michigan, Virginia Tech, Boston College and Illinois all having offered since September 20th as well. With Williams being an in-state prospect he quickly becomes a name that Nittany Lion fans should likely get to know as Penn State figures to be a factor in his recruitment until the end.
WIDE RECEIVER TARGET SETS COMMITMENT DATE
Texas speedster Omari Evans took an unofficial visit to Penn State over the summer. Now the three-star wide receiver is set to make his college choice as Evans has announced his plans to commit on Saturday.

It is not clear which way Evans may be leaning in his recruitment. He does not currently hold any crystal ball predictions on 247Sports. In addition to the Nittany Lions, Rutgers appears to be a major player in his recruitment.
Evans returned to Happy Valley for an official visit to the White Out two weeks ago. While this recruitment is not one that has been super easy to read, it does appear that if the Nittany Lions have a spot in their class for Evans the odds of them being the pick appear to be high.
