SAFET COMMIT ELEVATED TO FOUR-STAR STATUS

Ever since DeMatha Catholic safety KJ Winston committed to Penn State on July 31st we have discussed how it was easy to envision him being promoted to four-star status. Well, two games into his senior campaign this has happened as 247Sports now rates the Maryland native as a four-star prospect.

Winston is an athletically gifted safety who flies around on the field. He is physical, moves well in his backpedal and can read and react well, which could make him a ball hawk at the collegiate level. He does not shy away from contact and will fly up the field to assist in run support.

You can checkout Winston’s highlights from DeMatha’s first game of the season below.

2023 TIGHT VISITS, EARNS OFFER

Tight end Andrew Rappleyea unofficially visit campus last Wednesday to meet with the staff and check out the facilities. Following the visit, Rappleyea walked away with an offer from the Nittany Lions.

Rappleyea attends Milton Academy in Milton, Massachusetts. The Nittany Lions became Rappleyea’s 11th Power 5 offer as he is shaping up to become one of the top tight ends in the region for his cycle. Rappleyea could be a name for Nittany Lion fans to monitor.
