After taking down then No. 12 Wisconsin this past weekend 16-10, the Penn State Nittany Lions are among the biggest gainers in this week’s AP Poll.
James Franklin’s program moved from its preseason rankings of No. 19 all the way up to No. 11 as the college football season enters week two. The Nittany Lions will look to enter the top 10 next week with a win against Ball State this weekend.
In this week’s coaches poll, the Nittany Lions saw their stock rise to No. 13, a seven spot rise from their preseason spot at No. 20.
Fellow Big Ten programs ranked in the AP a poll include No. 3 Ohio State, No. 10 Iowa, and No. 18 Wisconsin. The Nittany Lions week three opponent, Auburn is also now ranked, entering the top-25 for the first time this season, coming in at No.25.
