I guess not a shock as she is an alum and was the lead assistant under Russ the last 4 years, and I'm sure he had more than a little input into the decision, but aside from that her resume as a head coach is a little underwhelming. Also interesting that Salima Rockwell, also an alum who did two stints as an assistant at PSU (including a few years as "Associate Head Coach") was named head coach at ND just this weekend.
