Penn State 89, Oklahoma State 80: Lions Slam the Door on OK State Comeback

Penn State (5-0) got it's straight victory over a Power 6 opponent of the season against Oklahoma State tonight being led by Sophomore guard Shay Ciezki's 27-point performance. It's their 5th win of the season and a critical victory before the Lady Lions take on #8 USC on Wednesday.

Oklahoma State was a difficult out for the Lions and it was the first time the Lions dealt with a team that would trade the lead with them multiple times in the 2nd half of play. However, the Lions, being led by SIX double-figure scorers, ended the OK State comeback after Makenna Marisa put PSU up for good with a buzzer-beater at the end of the 3rd Quarter. Shay Ciezki knocked down four three's in the 4th Quarter to seal the victory for Penn State.

There are many games left in the season, but this is arguably the Lady Lions best start since the 2013-14 season. This was the third of a stretch of seven games against P6 opponents for Carolyn Kieger's team with a decent Big South team, Radford, in the mix as well.
