Notes and Thoughts

  • Jace Tutty played for the first time this season at cornerback.
  • Penn State allowed only 3.94 yards per play against FBS competition in the regular season. The last team to allow under 4 yards per play over an entire season was 2011 Alabama.
  • After all the uncertainty at defensive tackle entering the season, a ton of depth has been built there. Five DTs had at least 10 snaps, and none of them had more than 20.
  • There were five snaps with both Drew Allar and Beau Pribula on the field. Some plays with both on the field worked, and some didn’t, but it was nice to see creativity with the playcalling.
