James Franklin had a lots of turnover on his Penn State Nittany Lions staff following the 2015 season. Some news he dropped today should help keep that from happening again next year.
All off PSU's assistant coaches have signed two-year contract extensions, according to the Wilkes-Barre Times Leader:
"Our entire staff just this summer got (two)-year contracts," Franklin said Thursday in a low-key sitdown at the end of a media luncheon. "All of the assistants, their first contracts just ran out. And they all just signed multiple-year, guaranteed contracts. All the strength coaches did. All the administrators. Everybody."
Penn State is breaking in several new coaches in 2016, including offensive and defensive coordinators, plus a new offensive line coach.
Franklin added that new OC Joe Moorhead, new safeties coach Tim Banks and new offensive line coach Matt Limegrover have all bought houses in the local area as well, whereas some previous coaches didn't even have their families move with them.
