Penn State released details about 2017 Homecoming today. The big week goes from November 5 to November 12 and is highlighted by the football team’s Homecoming Game against Rutgers on November 11. The week coincides with Military Appreciation Week and the Rutgers game will also be the Military Appreciation Game.

The annual Homecoming Parade will take place on Friday, November 10 in downtown State College and as usual will feature floats made by all sorts of campus organizations.

"Penn State Homecoming is very excited to have the unique opportunity to work in collaboration with Military Appreciation Week,” said Jillian Susi, Executive Director of 2017 Penn State Homecoming. “We look forward to organizing events to celebrate pride and tradition for the whole Penn State community to enjoy.”

Penn State Football is 25-2 against Rutgers since the series began in 1918, with the Lions holding a 3-0 advantage since the Scarlet Knights began Big Ten play in 2014. The last time the two teams met in State College, it was 2015 and Penn State won 28-3 behind 195 rushing yards and two touchdowns from Saquon Barkley. This upcoming Homecoming game will be just the third Penn State vs. Rutgers clash at Beaver Stadium since 1994.
