VIDEO: Kevin Montminy Earns Scholarship for Senior Season
Pat Chambers surprised Kevin Montminy at practice last week with the news that the senior walk-on would receive a scholarship for his final year. Montminy's minutes declined significantly last season due to Penn State's added depth in the backcourt, but it's always cool to see players who put in the effort on the court (note the nasty broken nose) and in the classroom get rewarded like this. Congrats and get well soon, Hoops McGloin. Also of note, this officially puts the kibosh on any additional incoming players for the 2014-15 season. The lone remaining candidate for that final scholarship, Texas A&M transfer Jamal Jones, declared his intent to enter the NBADL instead of sitting out a year at a D-1 school.
